Its been a while…

I cannot believe my last blog post was in February! Where has the time gone? I keep meaning to write more, but something or the other always seems to come up. I took a long vacation back home to Dubai to see my family and friends and once I got back to the US, I got a full time job that keeps me pretty occupied. Hence the lack of attention to my blog over here.

Dubai as always, was a great vacation where I got to spend a lot of time visiting my family and friends.

There is nothing better than relaxing by the pool after a 14 hour flight…

I love this city!

Over all, I had the most amazing time in Dubai and it was sad to leave a place I called home. I spent a lot of time with my family and friends and can’t wait for my next trip.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, UAE!

So I’m actually back in Dubai from my extremely short trip to Kuwait and honestly, there is no place like Dubai. I love this city and the life here. However, this desert heat is just way too hot that I actually miss the confused Georgia weather, especially the rains.

Anyways, so I recently got to visit the Jumeirah Beach Hotel here for a lovely lunch with a good friend of mine.

Designed in the shape of a breaking wave, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel is one of the most well-known landmarks in Dubai with its luxurious and vibrant interior. Since I’m here, I just had to head on over at one of their restaurants, overlooking the beach and the lovely Burj Al Arab. This is indeed what they call “the good life!

Afternoon tea!

Last weekend I got to experience “afternoon tea” at the Raffles Hotel here in Dubai after much persistence from all my friends to check it out. So after much hype, I grabbed a friend of mine and decided to go see for myself.

So they serve you a tea of your choice along with little sandwiches, scones and assorted desserts. Quite fancy, I must say! We ordered one between 2 people as I’m not a big eater and neither was my friend, so it was more than enough for the 2 of us.
