Date night: Indian dinner!

Having Indian food back home is nothing out of the ordinary. It’s something we’re used to all the time and basically not a big deal. Going out for Indian food in Georgia is a delicacy for me and the husband. Not only cause it seems to be the only Indian restaurant in this small town, but a bit on the pricy side as well. Definitely worth every penny though :)

When we go, our order is usually pretty standard: Butter chicken, garlic naans, chicken biryani, pistachio kulfi and rice pudding

Hope you all have a great weekend 😀

Afternoon tea!

Last weekend I got to experience “afternoon tea” at the Raffles Hotel here in Dubai after much persistence from all my friends to check it out. So after much hype, I grabbed a friend of mine and decided to go see for myself.

So they serve you a tea of your choice along with little sandwiches, scones and assorted desserts. Quite fancy, I must say! We ordered one between 2 people as I’m not a big eater and neither was my friend, so it was more than enough for the 2 of us.

Butter in a tube! Thought it was the coolest thing ever 😛

Strawberry chocolate shoe! They know me too well!

Shakespeare, Dubai!

If there’s one thing you need to know about me, it’s that I love to go out for lunch and dinners. Don’t get me wrong, I do like to cook, but it just doesn’t come out right like it does at the restaurants 😛 One of my favorite restaurants to go here in Dubai is a place called Shakespeare. They have many locations all over the UAE and the ambience of it makes you feel like your out of a scene of Marie-Antoinette. It’s got that chic Victorian interior and honestly you feel like you’re in a doll’s house, which I love! I am beyond girly, so I love the feminine touch to it.

The food here is exquisite. You really get your money’s worth. As soon as you sit down, the staff will bring you fresh hot bread with creamy garlic and cilantro butter.

I kept it simple and ordered a chicken carbonara with snow beans and walnuts. The portion sizes are quite big so if you’re a small eater like me, I would definitely share a meal with someone. ??????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????When it comes to dessert here, you are spoiled for choice. I honestly did not know what to order and when I did, I felt like I was on a sugar high. That’s how sweet it was lol. But look how pretty they all look. How can you resist right?
